Favorite Bolivian food: Choripan (chorizo in marraquetas, or little hard mini-loaves of bread)
Favorite hot beverage: Api (Check it out!) – Mmmmmmm, Api!
Favorite soda: Pomelo cola (yes, Spanish speakers, I am gaga over grapefruit pop!)
Favorite passtime: either playing a variation on Catan or getting others hooked! I especially enjoy running the school’s games club.
Favorite website: Oh, that’s a toss-up between AsoBrain Games and eMusic.com.
Favorite time of day: 5 a.m.
Favorite way to pray: fixed-hour prayer, using psalms and a prayer book
Favorite recent discovery: Okay, rediscovery… Mark Heard (what a songwriter he was!)
Favorite place for church: The Fisher family living room when we have family nights with Avery or invite people over for monthly community group
Favorite American food I can find in La Paz: Pancakes. Mmmmmm, pancakes (with api!)
Favorite Peruvian: my main man the croissant baker whose store is open before I go to work, and who has introduced me, Anne and Avery to some amazing things one can do with dough!
Favorite Bolivian: the amazing taxi driver who is always there (outside, coincidentally, my croissant place) to take me to school, and at a very fair price.
Favorite impossible fact: I’m losing weight! How cool is that? It might have something to do with those healthy croissants…
Favorite part about my school: I get to challenge the kids to think about how they view Jesus, liturgy, prayer, worship, eternity etc.
