Today, we celebrated the 5th anniversary of Highlands School, complete with a gigantic birthday cake.
We had a special chapel service for the entire student body. As you can see, it’s a tight fit into our “multi-purpose” room. . .

Here’s a picture of Tom and his worship team leading a song with sign language.

The service was very touching. Many of the high school students shared how the school has impacted their lives. Our missionary friend Greg Hurst shared how God first gave him the vision for the school six years ago, and how God has been faithful throughout its founding and growth. At the end, our director gave out certificates for our newly established honor roll. Relationships can sometimes overshadow academics here in Bolivia for cultural reasons, so we are striving to maintain a healthy focus on both at Highlands. Here’s one student as he was recognized.
